Hyderabad: Seminar on Women Oppression and Struggle for Liberation!

On 5th March 2017, The Struggle and Pakistan Trade Union Campaign (PTUDC) organised a seminar on “Woman Oppression and struggle for liberation” to mark International working woman day at Hyderabad Press Club. A large number of woman and youth, PTUDC and BNT activists from Hyderabad city and vicinity participated in the event. Rahul was stage secretary while Radha Bhail, Chairperson Dilat Sujaag Tehreek, Lajwanti, Neelum, Madhu, Lata, Mokhi, Khair Ul Alnisa, Sanam and Nathomal were speakers.
While addressing seminar, Speakers said, “Globally women are victims of dual exploitation as they are suffering domestic torture and society oppression. Qualified and educated woman are also no exception to this exploitation. Women are being killed due to feudalist’s remnants like Karo-kari and honour killing etc… Woman role in society is limited to giving births and performing household chores. Against these odds, there is a lack of genuine struggle for women liberation. Contrary to current situation woman has played a central role in every revolutionary movement even some movements were sparked by woman struggle. it’s our historical duty to perform and advance our revolutionary duties and struggle to build the socialist society.
