South Asian Student Groups Condemn Israeli Attacks on Gaza, Demand Global Action

By Revolutionary Students Front

A coalition of 25 student organizations from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka has strongly condemned Israel’s renewed military offensive in Gaza, which has killed over 400 Palestinians, including women and children, since the violation of the January 19, 2025 ceasefire agreement.

In a scathing joint statement, the student groups accused Israel of carrying out “barbaric aerial and drone attacks” targeting civilians in Gaza, describing the violence as one of the worst atrocities in modern history. They pointed to graphic images of Palestinian victims circulating globally as evidence of what they called “imperialist-backed genocide.”

The statement directly implicated the United States, citing President Donald Trump’s recent comments about removing Palestinians from Gaza as proof of American support for Israeli aggression. The students noted that since October 2023, the conflict has claimed nearly 50,000 Palestinian lives and left 115,000 injured, with civilians bearing the brunt of the violence.

Despite international pressure that led to a temporary ceasefire earlier this year, the student organizations condemned Israel’s resumption of attacks and Netanyahu’s threats of further escalation. They also criticized the United Nations for its failure to intervene, accusing the global body of complicity through its inaction.
